  1. As you have probably seen, we have started a collaborative blog called, Artists4Peace. I would love it if you would draw or write something for the blog. You know I’m a vegetarian and want peace and freedom for all animals everywhere. I would be grateful if you would contribute something and help spread love, understanding and peace through art. Thank you:)

  2. this one was made for you: The vegetable from outer space never eat meat.

And so the human race was not the dish it meant to eat.

The vegetable from outer space was reddish in color,

It had seven eyes, four ears and a dozen tiny, tiny feet.

The vegetable from space had blood the color of blue,

It breathed oxygen and gave out CO2 and in the air flew.

The vegetable from space had a high IQ and came for peace,

It landed in the city and a homeless man fined him and did eat.

No more vegetable from outer space, no more savior of mankind,

For the homeless man the vegetable from outer space was food and there was no meal line.

  3. Hey – can you e-mail me? I wanted to talk about a comment from another blog. Couldn’t find a way to e-mail through here. This certainly isn’t the place. Right place, right time and all that jazz. And by the way – I love the background – it makes me want to color again 🙂

  4. Hi Violet. It is good to see you back at my blog. I have learnt so much about blogging and people since the early days. Connection with other bloggers who care about the wellbeing of non-human animals is important to me.
    So, thank you ❤

  5. I have never seen vegan stories for children before! As a teacher of 4/5 year olds in an international school I always get asked why certain children don’t eat meat (usually religious reasons). I don’t think I would be allowed to show stories like these, but I think it’s great to have something like these for children! Well done! 🙂

    • Thanks so much for your comment and positive encouragement. I’m glad you like the comics. It’s a shame that we live in a world where you “wouldn’t be allowed” to show these stories; where eating meat is so ‘normal’ that many children are confused as to why some children don’t. That’s why we made this website with the intention of creating a new norm; a place where children who choose not to eat animals, whether from their own inclinations or because they were brought up that way, can come and not feel weird or alone or the odd-one-out; as well as somewhere that can answer the questions of omnivorous children who are curious and not comfortable with eating the animals they love. I hope it’s a happy place that they can enjoy 🙂

      • What a brilliant idea. We are vegetarians and our grandchildren just accept that when they are with us they will not be eating meat. They are only 3 and 5 years old so perhaps that influences them. I love the colours and your style. Great.

  6. I am sorry it has taken me a long time to stop by and thank you for all your visits to my blog: your visit are very much appreciated! I know I should be here far more often, as your blog site is so uplifting in its colors, images and posts. Please accept my apology for not showing up here more frequently – it is only due to my serious time restrictions (don’t we have them all…) My best wishes for your continued work on a lovely site!

  7. I wrote this with you in mind and if you can use it be my guest.

A salad is on my mind.

    Crispy lettuce of any kind.

    Cucumber sliced and scattered around.

A few placed olives to be found.

A celery stalk on both sides.

A cream sauce moving like the tides.

    A slice of pickle.

    To make my mouth tickle.

My taste buds tingle and wait,
Got to eat that salad, it looks first rate.

  9. A poem for you

The pair of pears were juicy.

    The melon ripe and moist.

    The watermelon was sweet.

    With the fruit we rejoice.

    The energy flowed through us,

    It was vital and strong.

We harmed nothing in this post,

We are like the earth reborn.

  11. I hope you do not mind but once I get an idea in my head I write it. This one was for you.
In Veggie Land there are two groups.

One is the veggie that grows above ground.

The other is one that grows below ground.

These veggies have had some arguments.

One group says it is better than another.

The potatoes, the carrots and the radishes insisted they were the best.

The sweet peas, green beans and squash argued they were the best.

    They proposed a soccer game.

They played on my plate and scooted around with the aid of my fork.

Neither one won, because I ate them all.

  12. I wrote this for you.

I took my children to a farm.

    They saw cows.

    They saw chickens.

    They saw pigs.

Then on the way home we went to a fast food restaurant.

I told them they could eat the cow, hamburger, or the chicken nuggets and that disturbed them.

They choose neither. I took them to a Chinese restaurant and said they could have egg rolls with pork in them. They choose to leave.

We went home and had bean tacos, salad and drinks.
They felt good they had not killed anything they saw.

Now I eat a little salmon and tuna once in a while. Children have got to get the message. Your work is a way to do that and I applaud you.
